Improve Your Golf Swing

Empty your head. Focus on your swing. It’s now too late to think about the wind direction or if you picked the right club. Focus is the key!!

Take the time. Take a step backwards, observe the situation, breath slowly and focus before you swing.

Quit while you’re Ahead. You just want to hit the perfect ball and you think that you’re almost there but your not! You want to continue but you are getting tired and you’re about to loose focus. Just leave the balls and go to the bar and try again next time. If you continue you’ll get aggravated and this won’t help your game at all. Better luck next time.

Forget: The sky is the limit. Always aim for a steady point or direction and frequently change this direction.

Find the Grass. Playing golf on a rubber practise mat or rug is “easy”. Putting the ball next to the dip or bump in the grass is the real works. This way you’ll learn it for real. During the game you’re not allowed to move the ball anyway.

Think in percentages. Spend about 80% of your practise time on improving and fine-tuning your swing. Spend the other 20% on the things you can run in to during a game.

One last interesting fact: 3% of all golfers complete their warm-up before stepping up the grass.
