Sem Schilt Wins the K1 Gran Prix 2007.

    Sunday, December 9th, 2007

For me personal it’s the most important and anticipated night of the year and what a night it was!!

Tonight it’s fight night and it’s time for the 15th K1 World Gran Prix. The big question was; will Sem Schilt win his third in a row K1 final?

    Tonight’s the night – It’s fight night!!

The tournament would start in the first round with some very promising matches. The one I was looking for the most was Badr Hari VS Remy Bonjasky. Both fighters were fighting at their best. They were great; this match was an exhibition model for what modern kickboxing is. Bonjasky won after 3 rounds on points. The other first round matches where Jerome Le Banner VS Hong Man Choi which ended in a 3th round jury decision (3-0), Sem Schilt VS Glaube Feitosa also a 3th round jury decision (3-0) and the fourth match was Peter Aerts VS Junichi Sawayashiki which was as expected a walk over by Peter Aerts. Aerts won within the first 60 seconds with a low kick followed by a huge blow in the head. The fighter from Japan was practically carried out of the ring after several minutes of lying there in the ring.

This is how you can get her to watch sports, 7 tips.

    Tuesday, November 13th, 2007

Don’t you guys love sports?? Sport is great! Sport has everything a men need. It has drama, passion, action, blood and it’s interested and intriguing. I ask you; isn’t this what women need or want in life?? Yes I thought so but how come that we are mainly watching sports by ourselves??

My guess is that they don’t have a clue why we are so excited about sports. If you want her by your site; you’ll need to teach her what sport is about!

Here are some tips that you might need if you don’t want to spend your Sunday nights alone on the couch watching TV.

You need to teach her to appreciate to game and players.

To her it might look easy if Sam Schilt wins the K1 or when Giggs scores the winning goals for Man United but we know it isn’t easy at all. Explain to her how these professionals train 6 days a week to be the best in their field. They need to be on top of their game 24/7.

Tell her that they are really are nice guys.

Ruud Gullit is the New Head Couch for LA Galaxy.

    Friday, November 9th, 2007

Modern Men GullitRuud Gullit is leaving Holland to go to the States. He is going to be the new head couch for LA Galaxy. He will be couching the team of England’s proud, David Beckham who is the Galaxy captain.

The former Galaxy head coach Frank Yallop is leaving the club to return to San Jose for a second shift as the Earthquakes coach.

The Dutchman has a glamorous career and is in the list of the best football players ever. Gullit joined AC Milan in 1987 and helped the Italian club to win the European Cup in 1989 and 1990. He also played for Sampdoria and Chelsea.

He was the head coach for several big European teams like Chelsea and Feyenoord. Feyenoord was his last managing job and I hope that he’ll do better than that. I’m a big fan of Feyenoord Rotterdam and he didn’t perform well there, he got fired for mismanagement.

MM wishes Gullit with his sexy football all the luck!!

Ten Cate leaves Ajax and heads for Chelsea. Modern Men World Ten Cate pic1

The Ajax coach will be working within Avram Grant’s coaching staff, after following the departure of former boss Jose Mourinho.

Last week, Henk Ten Cate asked Ajax to negotiate with Chelsea after Chelsea contacted him personally and the Dutch Ajax agreed to this request.

According Dutch Media, Ten Cate is expected to sign a three-year deal worth nine-million-euros (12.6m dollars).

Ten Cate was assistant coach to Frank Rijkaard at Barcelona when they won the Champions League and became Ajax coach in May 2006 on a two-year contract.

Adrie Koster will be replacing Ten Cate as the temporary head coach for Ajax.

    Formula 1 Team Sold (again)

    Friday, October 5th, 2007

Dutch Super Car manufacturer Spyker decided to sell the Formula 1 team within a year.

Spyker says that they are selling the team because of disappointing financial results. Mid august mister Mol resigned from the management of Spyker to make an offer on the Formula 1 Spyker team.

Another reason besides the unsatisfying financial results are the sports results. Just last week the team finally won their first point. German driver Adrian Sutil became 8th in the Gran Prix of Japan.

The Spyker F1 team is sold to Mol and an Indian investor group for 88 million Euros.

According Spyker the funds are going to be divided and send back to several investors. Midland Group receives 27 million Euro, ABN Amro receives 13.5 million Euro, Strongwind receives 17.3 million Euro, Friesland Bank receives 5 million Euro and an amount of 13 million euro will be used to pay for open invoices to suppliers within the Formula 1. According Spyker the net profit for them is 12.2 million Euro.

Not bad if you ask me for playing around with cars for a year.
