This is even too gay for the gay!

    By Vincent | November 5, 2007

Modern Men Acne picture2Today I received an e-mail that was pretty “shocking”. I love ripped up jeans and dress a bit extravagant, well tot a certain degree that is. So I’m pretty open-minded when it comes to fashion. But this quick peek into the new spring fashion line for the brand Acné was a bit disturbing. Especially knowing that they have some pretty cool men’s clothing items in there current collection.

Last year they had men walking the catwalk in female skinny jeans and to me surprisingly this was a huge success. But now they are launching men’s flats for their next year’s spring collection!! I just can’t imagine that these ballerina shoes will be a hit. I’m really curious how this develops; is this going to be a hit or will this “concept” die slowly on the catwalk. We just need to hold on and see if this is bringing them any success.

I wish you all the luck Acné!

These shows are fantastic and I want a pair. I so hope this will go mainstream!

My spouse already buys these shoes from the ladies department. It’s one of the many reasons I’m seeking a divorce.

I’m sorry to hear about that Anne, yes some guys…. Some guys like Dirk!! Dirk, come on man!! That there shows are fantastic okay, I can live with that. But the shoes??

I was reading this somewhere a couple of days ago “fashion is democratic” and that’s totally true but come on, be serious…. This is the same as Winter Crocs and if you ask me they should both be forbidden by law. LOL

I love the idea that you can just slip them on and off… So practical…. But really, how often do you need to put on and take off your footwear in a single day? For me it’s approximately one times.

I actually have some footwear with no laces or velcro – my gumboots (and without them where would I be?)

Come to think of it, I had some leather workboots once with steel caps, with no laces… I hated them. My feet didn’t feel secure in them, physically or sexually.

I won’t be caught dead in shoes like the ones pictured above, ever. I even hate them when women wear them.

Every day I strap pieces of dead cows to my feet. Without this ritual I would not have the strength to face the day or kick the living **** out of things that displeased me.

Summarily, these shoes you’re showing us do not fill any new niche and therefore their creation doesn’t fulfill any real purpose. They are stupid, dangerous looking shoes that appear to offer no protection to your feet and to boot they make you look like a total fag.
I’d get sick of telling people why I was wearing women’s shoes – in fact, I don’t even know why I would be wearing them since I can get the convenience advantage from much more practical and attractive footwear.

Those new shoes totally suck and should never have made it to the catwalk.

Although I must point out that bands like Twisted Sister were also too gay even for gays… They acted so gay that they could only obviously be extremely straight.

      A kind of rebellion.

(Still, I hate these gay shoes)
